Again, the word Drow resonated with her. She shook her head, partly in response to the creatures question and partly to dislodge the though from her brain. Very cautiously, she made her way closer to the man, eyeing his pincers suspiciously.

“…Strange… I.. am Malik… what… your name?”
The creature stepped fully out of the cave, standing at his full height, about nine feet. From the waist up, he appeared as a normal Drow. Below that, however, his body gave way to that of a giant scorpion with his tail slowly swaying behind him, the stinger just above his head.

Grace kept her mouth shut. She wasn’t sure what, but something about this creature seemed familiar. Uncomfortably so. She lowered herself as far as she could without resting on the ground, attempting to make herself as non threatening as possible.

Malik took a few steps closer, poking her stomach with one of his pincers.
“You… okay? What.. your name?”

Malik awoke in his home, the dank, dark cave he’d chosen specifically for its isolation in the middle of the forest. Humans never seemed to come by, in fact it was rare that anything came near, human or not. So that just made it all the more strange when he heard that sound outside. That faint, skittering, clacking sound that sounded so much like the movement of his own legs on the forest floor. He slowly crept to the mouth of his cave, staying out of sight as he spotted her… a Drider. Well, it had been some time since he’d seen one of them… so similar to his own kind. He wondered if this one could speak.
”Vendui, Dothka. Vel’bol silara dos ulu ussta taur?”

Grace jerked when she heard the voice, a low, soft hissing sound that  stopped dead in her tracks. Something about it rattled around in her brain. She cautiously Turned around, searching for the source of the sound, and found it coming from the mouth of a dark cave, nearly invisible behind high bushes. Her legs thumped against the ground as she skittered her way toward the shadowed figure lurking just inside.

Malik moved forward a bit, poking his Drow torso out of the cave, as well as his pincers and two front legs. His head tilted to the side as his lilac eyes examined the drider before him.
“You… do.. not speak… Drow?”

“Erk- I’m not adorable. I am dapper, thank you.” Fastener adjusted his cravat with two snow white gloves.

“Oh, of course you are! Look at your dapper little gloves! Aren’t you just a fancy little sir!” He wasn’t trying to be patronizing, actually, he just thought the little thing was adorable.

“I-I’m not- I’m!” The man’s yellow eyes twitched uncomfortably. “Shall I lead you all inside?” He mumbled lowly.

“Oh yes, that would be lovely, thank you!”

“Very well.” Fastener cleared his throat and turned, gesturing for the demons to follow closely behind him.

He walked past the two sisters, following Fastener into their home.

Scanty and Kneesocks allowed him to get a few steps in front, to avoid any possible collision or communication.

“Oh, you two have a lovely house!”

“We should. It’s City Hall after all, and we spared no expense in it’s construction.”

“City Hall? Are you two sharing the office of mayor, then?”

“I really am sorry you see it that way, but that wasn’t my intention. I understand your rank, I wasn’t trying to imply you were weak; simply lesser demons than my siblings and I in terms of power and authority, not in worth.”

“G-get out of our garden!”

“Why? I thought we could talk for a while, you two seem like good company.”

“I do not appreciate your sort of passive-aggressive insults!”

“Insults? No, no, I-I wasn’t insulting you! Goodness, but you two are angry, aren’t you? It’s like I’m talking to Spite….”

“Stop it!” Scanty’s condition wasn’t resolving itself. She was just generally frustrated and these statements made her agitated.

“….I… But….” He sighed again and turned away from them.
“These two are even worse than Spite….”

“Grrr-“

“M’ladies. I think that perhaps you should take a drink of wine and soothe yourselves.”

He turned around with a curious expression.
“Oh? Who’s this?”

“I am the mistresses pet- er… rather their butler. You may call me Fastener.”

“Goodness, well aren’t you adorable!? It’s a pleasure to meet you, Fastener. I am Golgotha.”
